Just upgraded my TV for football season. Pretty sad, that was my only justification. I already had a "48 big screen but I had to go for the HDTV "50 just for the games. Oh and you guessed right if your thinking that my wife hates me. On a serious note here I think I made one of the best buys of my young gambling career. I got a wireless access point so I can sit in front of my TV and watch the games and keep up with my bets at the same time
I like the idea of upgrading the home entertainment center for football season but my personal TV is one of the most neglected pieces of equipment on the planet during the season. I'm out at the clubs from noon til midnight every Sunday, switching location between games or even at the half if their are too many blowhards hangin' around. I wouldn't mind seeing some of my clubs upgrade their systems, a couple still have the rotating tuners. The worst is when I go to a place that has a wall full of sophisticated equipment and the management doesn't have anyone there to operate it. When that happens I'll usually hang around long enuff to watch the barmaid climb up on a stool in her hotpants to try and pick up a game, but after the floor show I'm outta there, probably for the season. We do rotate some game parties among my group, but I'm not going to upgrade my system for that crew. 61 days!
